Aziz Foundation Launches Masters In Arts Scholarships

The Aziz Foundation is pleased to announce it is offering a Masters in Arts scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year.

The Foundation has two scholarships available for exceptional students active in British Muslim communities and interested in how their needs may be met through the creative and expressive arts.

The Arts Management Scholarship – The objective of this scholarship is to help develop a pool of arts management professionals and practitioners who understand the role of arts policy and practice in promoting social inclusion and regeneration, and who are able to apply this to British Muslim communities in light of their understanding of these communities and their diverse and rich cultures.

The Artists Scholarship – The objective of this scholarship is to assist individual Muslim artists and to help develop a pool of creatives in British Muslim communities who contribute towards creating a vibrant British Muslim arts and culture scene.

Criteria

Applicants should meet all the following requirements:

  • Have or expect to have an offer on a Masters course from those listed below at a well-recognised and reputable institution.
  • Be active within their local and/or faith communities and demonstrate a desire to develop intellectual and artistic skills within a secular/multi-faith environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate long-term commitment to community/societal development and good relations work through arts and culture work.
  • Be eligible for Home/EU fee status at a relevant institution.
