Scholarships For Postgraduate Community Development Courses

The Foundation launches Scholarships at Goldsmiths, University of London to develop community services professionals from British Muslim communities

We are pleased to announce that the Aziz Foundation is offering two Masters scholarships for the 2017-18 academic year at Goldsmiths, University of London for exceptional individuals.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Foundation’s scholarships you must:

  • Hold an offer from Goldsmiths University for one of the courses from the list below
  • Be from and active in British Muslim communities.
  • Be interested in how the needs of these communities may be met through community development and services.

Which courses are covered?

The courses to be supported are:

•        MA Applied Anthropology and Community Development
•        MA Applied Anthropology and Community & Youth Work
•        MA Applied Anthropology and Community Arts
•        MA Understanding Domestic Violence and Abuse
•        MA Counselling

What do the scholarships cover?

The scholarships will cover tuition and living expenses for a year, up to a maximum of £25,000 in total. The scholarships are funded through zakat contributions.  The selected individuals will also be supported through a comprehensive development programme offering pastoral, professional and career advice, guidance and assistance during and after their study.
