The Independent | Editorial Fellow
The Aziz Foundation is pleased to announce that it is offering two fellowships at the Independent for exceptional British Muslims looking to pursue a career in journalism.
The editorial fellow will be working in a busy national newsroom, reporting on a wide range of stories including politics, crime, health, science and environment. They will be reporting in a range of different writing styles, including blog posts, breaking news, longer form news stories and features.
The successful candidate will be committed to working in the media and will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Muslim communities in the UK.
This is fixed-term, 6-month contract role (£28,808 pro rata). Applications can be made via the Aziz Foundation's Portal. The application deadline is 12pm (noon) on Monday, 12th May.
Interns
Our previous and current interns and apprentices have had the opportunity to join wonderful organisations and gain experience in areas where they are traditionally underrepresented. In the past, we’ve partnered with the Financial Times, The Independent, Sky News, Evening Standard, Runnymede Trust, Gate Theatre, the Centre for Media Monitoring and the UN’s International Organisation for Migration, among others.
