I have always been criticised for my inquisitive nature and desire to think outside of the box, daring to shed light on the issues that many members of my community refused to address.

Whilst studying for my undergraduate degree, I began my journey in journalism, using the qualities I was once condemned for as my superpowers. I will now be studying the MA Global Journalism at SOAS, with the aim of continuing in my journey to share stories that matter. It’s vital to understand that we all have a voice - but not everyone is heard.

My aim is to make sure all our voices are valued and supported, and to ensure that we are equipped to face life’s unsavoury truths with bravery and integrity.
