Muslim Friendly Universities Partnership Network Funding Competition Announced
28 January 2026
We’re excited to announce that the deadline for funding bids has been extended to Friday 10th April 2026!
A reminder of what’s on offer:
£30,000 to establish and lead a pilot Muslim Friendly Universities Network, bringing together the Foundation’s 50+ partner universities to:
- Lead advocacy and engagement with policymakers
- Act as a hub for knowledge exchange and best practice
- Tackle anti-Muslim hatred, policy exclusion and equality gaps affecting British Muslim students and staff
- Drive systemic change through research, convening and leadership
This extension gives all our partner institutions - whether applying solo or as part of a consortium - more time to submit proposals for this potentially high-impact project aimed at building EDI infrastructure and creating a more inclusive higher education sector for British Muslims.
We’ve been thrilled by the interest shown so far and look forward to receiving further applications. Need to discuss your idea? Informal conversations with our Programme Manager, Zain Sardar, can be easily arranged to support your submission (contact details and more information are in the funding competition brochure).
