My last couple of years at His Majesty's Courts Service, as a clerk in the Magistrates' Court, have been a whirlwind. It has made me realise that I want to progress my career in the field of criminal law so that I can actively take part in the course of justice – whether as an advocate on my feet, advising those in the worst positions in their lives, and continuing to serve the Court.

The Bar Practice Course (LLM pathway) will allow me to develop the legal skills and advocacy I need to become an effective barrister. The Aziz Foundation's Master's Scholarship – a great honour – has provided the means to start this course and contribute to my community by increasing our representation in the legal field.
