Youssef Atwa

My primary motivation in completing a master’s degree following my undergraduate in law is to widen the scope of my understanding of the world. I believe that it is becoming increasingly difficult to enact real change without a wider comprehension of the mechanisms that affect our daily lives; it is up to us as the younger generation to sculpt the change that we wish to see.

I try and embody this through an athletic representation agency that I founded, alongside a group of my childhood friends. It aims to put an end to the hyper-commodification of athletes in the modern market by presenting alternate, humane methods of representation. I see this as a microcosm for the change that I and the rest of my generation wish to make, and I am grateful for the Aziz Foundation’s ability to provide these opportunities.
