Fatoumata Jallow
MSC DIGITAL DESIGN WITH SOCIAL MEDIA, UNIVERSITY OF YORK
I am Fatoumata Jallow, a creative strategist and content lead passionate about combining cultural heritage with contemporary perspectives to create impactful and meaningful storytelling. With a background in creative strategy, visual communication, and content leadership, I focus on developing ideas that strengthen brand identity and translate complex concepts into compelling, engaging narratives.
Over the past five years, working across industries from fintech and wellness to food retail and e-commerce, I have witnessed first-hand the power of digital storytelling and design in shaping narratives, influencing culture, and creating shared beliefs, communities, and movements. This is something I have found both creatively inspiring and socially impactful.
Navigating different industries and audiences has sharpened my ability to craft work that is not only visually compelling but culturally considered. It is what has driven me to want to pursue an MA in Digital Design with Social Media. I want to move beyond instinct and develop the critical frameworks, theoretical grounding, and specialist knowledge that will allow me to contribute to this space in a way that is intentional, ethical, and rooted in purpose.
