I’m a recent revert and architectural photographer. I want to investigate what constitutes "Islamic" architecture - photographing and analysing mosques and Islamic design, exploring what the principles reveal about the beauty of Islam - design reveals belief. My aim is to share this with others, countering misinformation through academic research and contemplative imagery. This should culminate in a photographic research book, exhibitions, and social content.
At the RCA, I hope to be guided by the professors in creating a complex work, deepening my theoretical grounding whilst sharpening how I translate spatial ideas and research into images.
Ultimately, I want to become both a commercial freelance architectural photographer and artist dedicated to sharing Islamic design through photography and research.
