I am a public policy researcher pursuing an MA in Investigative Journalism at City St George's, University of London. I have a particular interest in policies related to citizenship and migration, with a focus on issues affecting British Muslim communities.
I am a co-creator of On Things We Left Behind, a podcast that explored the impacts of war on refugees' lives. The podcast won Launch-Pod, the UK's first podcasting competition.
As an Aziz Foundation Journalism Scholar, I hope to develop the investigative skills and professional networks needed to produce pieces that document and challenge the erosion of British Muslims' rights and contribute to stronger legal protections for those most affected.
