Masters Scholarships Applications opening in january for 2026/27

We are excited to announce that applications for The Aziz Foundation's Master’s Scholarships are officially open today, Tuesday 13th January 2026!

Since 2019, our programme has:

• Partnered with 50+ universities
• Awarded 700+ scholarships
• Invested over £8 million in British Muslim communities

For 2026/27, we have made some minor updates to the programme while continuing our mission to support exceptional British Muslims committed to positive social impact.

Scholarship Criteria:

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate excellence in:

• Effective Advocacy & Enhancing Public Perception - fostering better representation of British Muslims and combating anti-Muslim hatred
• Community Service & Social Development - raising aspirations and standards within British Muslim communities

Additional sub-criteria include:

• Strong understanding of their chosen industry and prior achievements
• Clear vision of how the course will generate social impact
• Zakat eligibility

• Law (aspiring barristers only)
• Media & Journalism (open year-round)
• Policy
• Sports
• Sustainability & Environment
• Technology
• Philanthropy & Grantmaking

Assessment & Timeline:

• Applications open: 10:00am, Tuesday 13th January 2026
• Applications close: 2:00pm, Friday 15th May 2026
• Shortlisted candidates will undergo a second-stage assessment

This year, there will be only one application cycle, ending earlier than previous years.
