The Aziz Foundation is delighted to announce that it is offering four 6-month paid internships at Everyday Muslim Heritage and Archive Initiative (EMHAI). We encourage applications from early-career historians of Muslim faith / heritage looking for research experience and career development.

This internship will help to make Muslim stories and histories more visible by creating the first ever Muslim digital history map on muslimhistorymaps.com, which will be launched in 2023.

It’s an opportunity to gain experience of conducting oral history interviews, contacting museums, archives, community heritage projects and creating blog articles that will be posted on social media channels.

Everyday Muslim Heritage and Archive Initiative is a long-term project to create a central archive of Muslim lives, arts, education, and cultures from across the UK.

We’re grateful to the EMHAI for their support in this process and their dedication towards improving the opportunities available for British Muslims to pursue careers in the heritage sector. We look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the industry can be more diverse and representative.
