Aziz Foundation Celebrates Ten Year Anniversary

Today marks 10 years since The Aziz Foundation was born.

What started as a small, grant-giving charity has grown into a national force for equity, inclusion, and empowerment - and we couldn’t be more grateful.

In the last decade, we’ve evolved our programming to focus deeply on the upliftment of British Muslims, supporting them to thrive in all areas of society - and doing so in solidarity with all communities.

Some highlights from our work so far:

• Awarding 660+ scholarships
• Funding 71+ internships
• Investing £9 million+ in education and opportunity
• Organising the annual Aziz Inclusion Award to celebrate institutional change
• Sponsoring the annual Ramadan Lights in the West End - Western Europe’s first aerial Ramadan and Eid display
• Bringing joy with London's first Iftar Food Trail, a lantern parade with schoolchildren and the Right Worshipful Lord Mayor of Westminster, and our interactive “Spread the Light” installation in Leicester Square
• Hosting our first-ever Eid party - in the heart of the City of London

This year has been extra special with the release of our 10th Anniversary Social Impact Report, independently compiled by Sonnet Advisory & Impact CIC, reflecting on the scale of change made possible by the Foundation and our community of supporters.

Entering this next chapter, we remain as committed and humble as ever:

There are far too many names to include in a single post, but please know: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re here because of you.

It’s been so heartwarming to look back at the memories you’ve shared with us - moments that remind us how far we’ve come, together.

A special thank you to our passionate, committed internal team - your dedication is the heartbeat of this Foundation.

And while we’ve achieved a lot, we’re not done yet. We still have big plans before the year is out - so stay tuned.
