We are very gratified to announce the longlist for this year’s Aziz Inclusion Award. The nominations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our university partners in buidling inclusive learning cultures for British Muslim communities.

Nominations have been made by Aziz scholars and alumni, as well as the partner institutions themselves. The longlist recognises universities that have invested time and energy in enhancing their widening participation and EDI initiatives, in order to better the experience of Muslim students on campus.

We can confirm that the following institutions have made it to the longlist:

πŸ› University of Birmingham
πŸ› The University of Law
πŸ› Jesus College Oxford
πŸ› De Montfort University
πŸ› Royal College of Art

Next Steps in the Process:

  • A panel of judges (including the Foundation's Ambassador, Ibrahim Mohammed, and trustee, Rahima Aziz BEM) will decide the shortlist this summer
  • The winner and runner-up will be announced in the autumn

We are very keen indeed to showcase the excellent initiatives and schemes run by our institutional partners as they aspire to become Muslim Friendly Universities.
