Aziz inclusion award 2026 shortlist announced
27 July 2026
It is with great enthusiasm that we can now announce the shortlist for this year's Aziz Inclusion Award. A panel of judges - including Aziz Foundation trustees, staff and external stakeholders - recently convened to review the supplementary evidence submitted by institutions nominated for the Award.
The judges would like to congratulate the shortlisted universities, as well as to recognise the efforts of partner institutions that made it to the longlist. Universities were either nominated by Aziz scholars and alumni or self-nominated. Our partner universities took the opportunity to showcase the extraordinary breadth of work being undertaken to ensure an excellent student experience for Muslims on campus.
We can confirm that the following institutions have made it to the shortlist with the winner and runner-up announced in the Autumn:
- De Montfort University
- The University of Law
- University of Birmingham
The Judging Panel were highly impressed by the range of EDI and widening participation interventions established by partner institutions. This attests to importance the sector attaches to working towards becoming more Muslim friendly.
