LLM IN PROFESSIONAL LEGAL PRACTICE, UNIVERSITY OF LAW

Almost half of the Muslim population resides in the most disadvantaged areas in the UK and as a minority group, are deprived of legal representation. Muslims, therefore, experience the greatest economic hardship and as a result, are more likely to have poor legal representation.

I intend to study the Legal Practice Course & LLM at the University of Law with support of the Aziz Foundation. My interest in this course stems from my time working as a Caseworker for the Islamophobia Response Unit (IRU) where I was exposed to the deep structural barriers Muslim face in the world of work.

I am primarily interested in using my degree to support and improve legal representation for marginalised communities.
