MA GENDER STUDIES, SOAS UNIVERSITY OF LONDON

I am an award-winning journalist who has written more than 4,000 articles on various news and lifestyle topics including health, travel, gender, race, culture and more. I’ve worked at some of the best journalism publications around the world, celebrating, humanising and sharing stories of people from marginalised backgrounds, including British Muslims.

Some of my work include exclusive original series looking at Ramadan traditions, Eid, and features investigating pressing issues Muslims face including vicarious trauma, Islamophobia, and health disparities.

An area of writing I've enjoyed is gender discourse; modern divides between men and women, incel ideology, misogyny, domesticity and the law as it pertains to gender. This is why I'm excited to do a MA in Gender Studies.
