Farhana Begum

Farhana read law at King’s College London, before qualifying as a Solicitor. She specialises in family and children’s law. She is also the founder and trustee of a charity dedicated to providing free legal advice and representation to individuals who attend the Family Court without a lawyer.

Farhana’s academic profile focusses on access to legal services and justice. She trains corporate and commercial solicitors in family law advocacy to facilitate pro bono work within the Family Court.

She previously worked at a range of private and public universities as a Senior Lecturer, and she continues to sit at a university as an external examiner. Farhana champions the right and access to higher education.
