Granta & Granta Books Internship Awardees

We are pleased to announce that our 6 month internships at Granta and Granta Books have been awarded. We received very strong applications and would like to thank those who applied for taking the time to submit their applications.

Our 2018 interns are as follows:

Granta Editorial Intern: Halimat Shode

Halimat has a degree in Creative Writing from Brunel University. She established her own publication, The Black Muslim Times UK, and has had her writing featured in Media DiversifiedBuzzfeed and Stylist. Halimat will be interning at Granta magazine, Britain’s leading, literary quarterly, where she will get the chance to work with them closely in order to learn what is involved in publishing the magazine, both online and in print.

Granta Books Intern: Javerya Iqbal

Javerya has completed her degree in English at Birmingham City University. She is keen to deploy her marketing skills gained in the arts and heritage sector in this internship at Granta Books. In addition to marketing, publicity and social media,  Javerya will contribute to all stages in the book editing process.
