As well as holding a Bachelor’s degree from LSE in Social Anthropology, I have completed the darsī niẓamī ‘Ālimiyya programme and a two-year specialisation in Islamic Law and the Science of Fatwa (takhaṣuṣ fi l-Iftā wa l-fiqh) with Mufti Abdur-Rahman Mangera.

Since starting my Iftā’, I have written just over 1,000 fatwās. As an Aziz Foundation Scholar, I will complete a 40,000 word dissertation in Islamic Law at the University of Birmingham, with a primary focus on Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya, Hanafi fiqh and the Islamic Law governing Muslim Integration into secular societies.
