Kiran Shah

Kiran is a Legal Adviser with HMCTS at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court with a background in criminal law. She completed her Bar/LLM in 2023 and previously worked with two criminal defence law firms. Alongside her professional experience, she has supported students, aspiring barristers and others interested in pursuing a career in law to offer practical advice and encouragement.

Kiran has recently started volunteering with colleges on behalf of HMCTS to speak to students about careers within the justice system. She is passionate about helping others understand the legal profession, build confidence and make informed career choices particularly those without established networks or guidance.
