Nargis is a graduate of International History at the LSE and a teacher by profession. She is the founder of a global online community for Muslim mothers which seeks to connect, support and uplift Muslim mothers across the world. Nargis is a community activist, scouts leader and mother of 4 boys.

Nargis’s deep passion and love for education and community led her to choose this MA course with the intention to help decolonise and diversify curriculums for the inclusivity of British Muslim children, who she believes are becoming ostracised by increasing Islamophobic rhetoric in mainstream media and education.

Global Cultures traces the roots, development and connections between people and places. It explores where we have come from, how our identities have been shaped and influenced, how we can coexist in diversity by fostering a better understanding and tolerance of cultural difference.
