MPHIL EDUCATION, WOLFSON COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE

I completed my PGCE in Social Sciences after studying Development Studies and Social Anthropology at undergraduate level. I'm currently working as Head of Social Sciences and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at a secondary school in West London.

With the generous support of the Aziz Foundation, I’ll be returning to academia to pursue a master’s degree. I’m hoping this will help me bridge the gap between theory and practice – so I can use evidence-based approaches to support pupil progress and broader development, especially for marginalised communities.

I believe in an education system that recognises and actively challenges all forms of structural discrimination, including anti-Muslim racism. I want to be part of the change that removes barriers and creates space for all students to thrive.
