Sara Qureshi

I am a BSc Geography graduate, with a 1st class from Keele University and a passion for biodiversity conservation, wildlife protection and environmental sustainability. As a South Asian Muslim woman with a disability, I have learned resilience, determination and the importance of overcoming barriers. These are experiences that have strengthened my commitment to creating positive change.

My academic studies, fieldwork and volunteer experience with Wildlife SOS UK have reinforced my interest in science-based conservation. Through this MSc, I hope to develop advanced research and practical conservation skills while gaining valuable field experience. My ambition is to build a career in wildlife conservation, ideally with DEFRA, contributing to conservation policy, protecting vulnerable ecosystems and inspiring others from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in science, all whilst ensuring my local area is cared for.
