Sohaila Ismail

I am an aspiring journalist with a background in Media from UCL and a passion for political communication and social justice. As a proud Muslim woman, I’m committed to challenging misrepresentation and advocating for underrepresented voices, particularly within British Muslim communities.

Through the MA in International Relations & Security at the University of Liverpool, I hope to deepen my understanding of global politics and the role of media in shaping public discourse.

This course will equip me with the academic foundation and critical tools needed to produce impactful, informed journalism and documentary work that drives meaningful social change and better representation for minority communities in the UK.
