The Aziz Foundation is pleased to announce a 12-month full-time paid Trainee Producer role with the Gate Theatre. We encourage people who identify as Muslim and who want to develop a career as a theatre producer to apply.

This role is a part of Stage One’s Bridge the Gap development programme which helps address the lack of diversity amongst theatre producers.

It’s an opportunity to gain first-hand experience of supporting the theatre’s in-house productions. The Trainee Producer will also have the opportunity to be mentored by the Executive Director CEO and be trained by various departments. A passion for theatre and live performance is vital to the role and ideally, candidates will have experience in an arts administration role and strong relationship management skills.

The Gate Theatre was founded in Notting Hill in 1979 to stage international plays and today, makes international theatre that is representative of our local communities.

We’re grateful to Gate Theatre for their support in this process and their dedication towards improving the opportunities available for underrepresented communities to pursue careers in the theatre industry. We look forward to continuing our work together to ensure that the industry can be more diverse and representative.

Interested? The deadline for this role is on 23rd May and you can learn more about the role and apply here.
