The Muslim Council of Britain hosted a 25th Year anniversary gala dinner at the Waldorf Hotel in London to celebrate 25 years of service and giving a voice to British Muslims.

Hosted by Aaqil Ahmed, the anniversary dinner on Friday 25th November brought together the Muslim community from around the country.

Aziz Foundation guests included Louise Hastings of Sky, Doug Will of the ES and Independent, Caroline Gammell of the Independent, Will Gore of the Journalism Diversity Fund, Adele Jones of the Financial Times, Mark Hudson of News UK, Burhan Wazir of Hyphen online and Sabah Meddings of Bloomberg.

Aziz Foundation’s Trustee Rahima Aziz gave a keynote speech about the Foundation and how its goals and vision for the Muslim community aligned with MCB. Anas Sarwar, Leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Louise Rolfe OBE, Assistant Commissioner Metropolitan Police, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Sir Ed Davey, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, also gave keynote speeches.

This was followed by a panel discussion with MCB’s Secretary-General Zara Mohammed, Naz Shah MP and Labour MP for Bradford West alongside MCB’s former Secretary-General Dr Abdul Bari and Founding Secretary General Sir Iqbal Sacranie.

We congratulate Muslim Council of Britain on this important milestone they have achieved, celebrating their 25th anniversary of serving British Muslim communities.
