The Aziz Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be offering postgraduate scholarships at the University of York for exceptional students from a British Muslim background.

The University of York has become one of the Foundation’s Preferred Partners, having demonstrated its commitment to Widening Participation, particularly at the postgraduate level. The institution has collaborated on initiatives to increase access to postgraduate taught study for BME graduates and students from underrepresented backgrounds. This includes offering information, advice, guidance, and scholarships to disadvantaged students, in partnership with HEFCE’s Postgraduate Support Scheme (PSS). Moreover, the institution is leading a five-university consortium which aims to widen access to research degrees for BME students.

We are pleased to welcome the University of York as one of our Preferred Partners and look forward to working closely with the University to widen access and increase opportunities at the postgraduate taught level for British Muslim communities, and close the BME awarding gap at this level.
